#PremierLeague : #Azpilicueta Has Lost My Respect For Denying A Hardworking Player Chance To Shine’:-Temmy Abraham
#Chelsea won their first league derby game of the season when they thrashed Crystal Palace 4-0 at Stamford bridge. Frank Lampard’s men responded positively after their lackadaisical display against West Bromich last weekend and their disappointing exit from the Carabo cup against Tottenham Hotspur. It was the debut boy, Ben Chiwell that masterminded Chelsea’s victory against Crystal Palace as he showed his qualities and helped set up his teammates to a comfortable win today.

Ben Chiwell scored a wonderful goal and assisted Kurt Zouma for Chelsea’s second goal and Jorginho converted two penalties won by Tammy Abraham and Kai Havertz respectively to give Chelsea a 4-0 win at home.
I believe most of Chelsea’s fans saw what transpired in the game when Tammy Abraham tried to take Chelsea’s second penalty of the game but was stopped by the club’s captain. Recall that Tammy Abraham won Chelsea a penalty after Crystal Palace’s defender, Tyrick Mitchell had fouled him inside the box and then Jorginho stepped up to convert the chance.

Some minutes later, Kai Havertz earned Chelsea another penalty when Sahko fouled the midfielder inside the box and Tammy Abraham picked the ball and tried to take the penalty. Jorginho also stepped up to take the penalty and both players went into loggerhead with Tammy Abraham refusing to hand over the ball to Jorginho.
From what transpired in the game, Jorginho was already committed to left the Englishman has his way before Caesar Azpilicueta intervened and forced Tammy Abraham to hand over the ball to Jorginho who eventually scored the penalty to put Chelsea 4-0 up.
Am not trying to support Tammy Abraham’s boldness to try to go against established hierarchy but this is a game Tammy Abraham needed a goal badly to boost his confidence. Tammy Abraham felt his hard work and efforts in the game should be complemented by taking the penalty.
To be honest, Jorginho is a defensive midfielder and Tammy Abraham needed that goal more than him.

At 3-0 up and Jorginho has already taken the first penalty won by Tammy Abraham, it is the right thing to let Tammy Abraham take the penalty in order to boost his confidence and give him a moment of brilliance.
Caesar Azpilicueta acted like the captain but did the wrong thing obviously, he should have told Jorginho to allow Abraham to takes the penalty and not bullying the player and denying a chance to shine in the game. To be honest, am really disappointed in the captain and he has lost the little respect I have for him.
No doubt, this incident will really affect Tammy Abraham’s confidence and we hope it doesn’t lead to a problem in the dressing room.
What are your thoughts on the game and the Jorginho, Azpilicueta, and Abraham incident?
